News:Rugby World Cup 2011-Szarzewski: "A year is a long time

You have not walked the lawn for several months. How do you feel?Dimitri Szarzewski: It's been seven months since I have not played my last game of 9 January, with the French stage. So I always a little apprehensive at the beginning of the recovery but that's normal. This is a positive pressure. And I do have some certainty, thanks to training and opposition that we do during this preparation. I will come on the field Saturday with confidence.
After your operation of the Achilles tendon, you said want to come back "stronger". Is this the case?DS: I was in the same position in the preparation of the 2007 World Cup as I was returning from a shoulder operation so I can make the comparison. And I feel stronger now but there is still a lot of work, personally and collectively.
Although tenure in the absence of William Servat, still recovering, you face the number two position in the Blues hooker. How do you handle this status?D.S.: It's never easy. When you're a competitor, you want to have to be number one. But I know it worked out well that way so far. William was wounded at the moment but it seems to come back. We will see, this is the land that will tell more.
What do you, personally, that game against Ireland?DS: I want to take a maximum of pleasure and play as if it was the last time. You never know what could happen. I was away from the France team for one year. It's long. We can say that I have long teeth ...
You have not played for France since June 26, 2010, Argentina, and was not there during the difficulties of November and the final RBS 6 Nations. How did you feel about these times?DS: I felt helpless and I wanted to be on the field with my teammates but I was injured so I could not. This is the tournament that I experienced really bad, actually. Week, it was because I worked hard in rehabilitation. I was busy and I had no time to lament my fate. But the weekend I was off and it became very hard.
Have you been surprised by the disappointment of the XV of France in recent months?DS: Yes, especially the one against Australia (16-59, Ed). Fifty points, that's a lot ... It was all the more surprising that there was not much difference at halftime (13-13, Ed) and that the team had exploded after. This defeat has really hurt. There was much criticism at the end of this drencontre and it was hard after looking in the mirror. Even for me who was not there. We felt all concerned.
